Environmental Scientist

Three Oaks Engineering is seeking an (average 30 hours/week) Environmental Scientist Intern to assist with natural resource projects during the spring/summer of 2026. The position(s) will be based in our Columbia, SC, office. In this position, you will assist with wetland delineations, protected species surveys (including bats and freshwater mussels and fish), and environmental compliance monitoring. The position will provide an excellent opportunity to gain experience in natural resource data collection and analysis.

Enrollment in or recent graduation from a bachelor’s degree program from an accredited institution in Environmental Science, Natural Resources, Soil Science, Biology, or a closely related field is preferred.  Willingness to perform in adverse field and weather conditions throughout a variety of aquatic and terrestrial habitats is a must.  The position will require travel within North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia. The internship is paid, and a stipend will be provided to cover the cost of necessary field equipment.
